The apacherocks.org Apache installation is currently divided into 2 sections.The first section covers the installation and configuration of Apache 2.0 when installed via RPM packages. This is applicable to people running Redhat. The other tutotial covers the installation of Apache 2.0 via source and it's subsequent configuration. This should be portable to just about any Unix/Linux distro.
